In the DECODE challenge, FIRST® Tech Challenge teams will unlock hidden systems to reveal how technology truly works.

Every signal, algorithm, and mechanism carries meaning. By breaking down complex systems and understanding how each part communicates and interacts, teams learn to transform information into action. Using engineering, coding, and collaboration, students will decode challenges to build smarter, more responsive solutions.
FIRST Robotics Competition REBUILT
In the REBUILT challenge, FIRST® Robotics Competition teams will reimagine, redesign, and rebuild for a stronger future.

Progress is driven by the ability to adapt. When systems fail, evolve, or outgrow their purpose, engineers step in to rebuild with intention. Through innovation, resilience, and teamwork, teams will take what exists, improve it, and create solutions that are more efficient, sustainable, and impactful than before.
