Please note that this video is for judges at traditional events using paper rubrics- if you are going to a paperless event, please head to video 6(2) covering the online version of the rubrics. There are a number of documents required for FIRST LEGO League judges to fill out at the event. These can be found at: https://firstaustralia.org/tournament-directors
For the 2024-2025 season, some Australian events are going paperless! This means that judging documentation is done through the FIRST Australia Dashboard (https://firstaustralia.systems). If your event is not a paperless event, you will use the traditional paper rubrics covered in 6 (1).
When providing feedback to FLL teams, it's important to remember the key purpose of judges at the event: your job is to encourage and inspire the teams!
Here's what we're looking for in team award submissions.
Once your judging interviews are done, you will get together with other judges and deliberate over who you think the award recipients should be. Here's what to expect from this process!
